COURTESY CALL ON MRS CYNTHIA ANIM

As part of our ongoing commitment to fostering strong relationships with Principals in the Eastern and Greater Accra Regions, a delegation paid another courtesy visit to Mrs Cynthia Anim, the Principal of Presbyterian Women’s College of Education, Aburi, on 5th March 2025. The delegation consisted of Kingsley Ayitey (President), Samuel Boahene-Asah (General Secretary), Elizabeth Yirenkyiwaa (Women’s Commissioner) and Eshun Degraft Brown (PRM). Our engagement with Mrs Anim was both enlightening and productive. We began by discussing the persistent issues surrounding examination results at her college and explored potential solutions to address these challenges. It was during this conversation that we learned about an innovative system being developed by the University of Education, Winneba, designed to resolve such issues. Additionally, her College is working on creating its own internal system to minimise result discrepancies. Mrs Anim shared valuable advice on how we, as student leaders, could support the institution in resolving these matters for the betterment of our constituents. We also raised the topic of the delay in the release of National Service Pin codes, an issue that affects many students in the Sector . Mrs Anim offered her perspective on how this challenge could be mitigated and discussed possible strategies for improving the process moving forward. Furthermore, we sought her insights on various projects and programmes, including the recent Leadership Summit, where she was invited as a distinguished speaker. Her contributions to the event were highly regarded, and we were keen to learn from her experience in delivering impactful leadership messages. Like many of her colleagues, Mrs Anim commended the leadership of TTAG-EGA for the initiation of the EGA Aid Scheme. She expressed how proud she is of the steps we’ve taken to support our fellow students and encouraged us to do even more once sufficient funding is secured. She also shared valuable advice on how she successfully engages other stakeholders and brings people on board to support her college’s initiatives, which will be beneficial for our future endeavours. In addition to these discussions, we also addressed the issue of feeding arrangements at the College. Mrs Anim was open about the challenges faced and provided constructive suggestions on how we can collaborate to improve these conditions for the students. We are immensely grateful to Mrs Cynthia Anim for her time, her insights, and her unwavering support. Her experience and guidance have been invaluable to us. At TTAG-EGA, we firmly believe that collaboration with key stakeholders, including Principals, is essential for achieving our objectives and strengthening the educational landscape for all.
